PBC issued “China Financial Standardization Report (2011)”

      Recently, The People''''s Bank of China issued a report titled “2011 China financial standardization report”. This report summarizes and reviews China domestic improvements in financial standardization management, system building, standardization development, publicity and implementation, overall shares the practical experience and achievement in national financial standards, industrial standards and corporate standards, detailed introduced international dynamics and exchange on financial standardization.

      The report points out that the financial standardization work of 2011 around the target of “implementing standardization strategy, improving financial industry competitiveness”, emphasis on financial standard system building, strengthening main or key financial standard’s developing and implementing. Measure the remarkable result in 2011, standard construction has played an important role, national financial standards of this year increased by almost half times, the number of standards in 2011 is the most published in recent years, it covered areas including bank cards, financial statistics, information security, message exchange and others, provided a basis and benchmark for strengthening macroeconomic management, pushing and regulating financial interconnection and business innovation, reducing and preventing financial risk, improving financial service quality and overall level.  “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” period is a critical period for financial reform and development, it is also a development stage for financial standardization, thus China financial standardization should fully implement financial standardization strategies; devote to “laying the basis, grasping development,carrying out implementation, focusing on efficiency”.

      The report is the 3rd China financial standardization annual official report, compared with the previous year; it augmented financial standardization investigation and research, international dynamics and exchange on financial standardization.
