In July 1991, the 1st CFSTC was founded. PBC Deputy-Governor Chen Yuan served as the Chair. Liu Zhong, Director of Planning and Standardization Division of the PBC Technology Department, served as the Secretary- General.
On Apr i l 30, 1992, CFSTC developed and released the first national financial standard GB/T 13497—1992 Codes of Clearing Center for Countrywide Inter-bank Transaction.
On May 27, 1996, the 1st CFSTC Printing and Minting Subcommittee was founded. Zhao Penghua, General-Manager of China Banknote Printing and Minting Corporation (CBPM) served as the Chair. Zhang Xing, Deputy-Director of Science & Technology Department of CBPM served as the Secretary-General.
In January 1998, China Financial Integrated Circuit Card Specification (Version 1.0) was released.
On October 23, 2002, the 2nd CFSTC was established. PBC Deputy- Governor Xiao Gang served as the Chairman. Yang Hong, Deputy-Director of Plan and Standardization Division of the PBC Technology Department served as the Secretary-General.
On December 18, 2002, approved by PBC, Standardization Center of China Financial Computerization Corporation was established.
On December 9, 2003, the 1st CFTSC Secur it ies Subcommit tee was founded. Xu Yaping, Directer of Information Center of China Securities Regulation Commission (CSRC) served as the Chairman. Yang Shuqin, Director of Technology Supervision Office of CSRC Information Center served as the Secretary-General.
In July 2004, PBC Deputy-Governor Su Ning took the Chair of the 2nd CFSTC in place of Xiao Gang.
In July 2004, China became a state member of ISO/TC 68, ISO/TC 68/SC 2 and ISO/TC 68/SC 4.
In June 2005, CFTSC attended 24th ISO/TC 68 Annual Meeting organized by Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina, for the fi rst time as a P member.
On September 26, 2005, the 1st CFSTC Insurance Subcommittee was founded.
On December 8, 2006, the first financial standard in Insurance field JR/ T 0032-2006 Insurance Terminology was released.
On January 17, 2007, the Five-Year Plan of China Insurance Standardization (2007-2011) was released.
In December, 2007, China became a state member of ISO/TC 68/SC 7 and ISO/ TC 222.
In July 2008, Notice on Releasing Rules for Main Duty, Organization and Staffing of PBC by the General Office of the State Council (Document No.83) was released, and PBC was appointed to take charge of organizing, managing and coordinating financial standardization work.
In December 2008, CFSTC and SWIFT co-organized ISO 20022 International Standards Seminar. This was the first time for the finance industry to hold such a seminar on ISO 20022.
In September 2009, JR/T 001-2004 Systematic Specification of Centralized Bank Data Center was confer red a Third Prize of the 2008 China Standards Innovation and Contribution Award.
In February 2010, Li Dongrong, Member of the Party Committee and PBC Governor Assistant was appointed the Chairman of the 2nd CFTSC.
In October 2010, the financial industry standard, JR/T 0021-2004 Elect ronic Information Disclosure Specification for Listed Companies was awarded a Third Prize of the 2010 China Standards Innovation and Contribution Award.
In November 2010, the PBC released China Financial Standardization Report 2009.
In January 2011, the PBC launched the establishment of the fi nancial standard certifi cation system.
In February 2011, Security and Futures Industry Standards System was released.
In May 2011, CBPM Standards System was released.
In June 2011, the CFSTC sent a delegation to the UK and EU countries to inspect policies, methods and experience concerning fi nancial standardization .
In October 2011, the PBC released the China Financial Standardization Report 2010.
In November 2011, the CIRC issued the 12th Year-Plan for China’s Insurance Standardization.
On February 20, 2012, the CFTSC website was upgraded and officially re- launched.
On May 8, 2012, the 3rd CFSTC was established in Beijing. PBC Deputy- Governor Li Dongrong continued his term as the Chairman. Jiang Yunbing, Director of Standardization and IT Developmwent Division of the PBC Technology Department served as the Secretary- General.
On May 18, 2012, the PBC released the industry standard JR/T 0068-2012 General Specification of Information Security for Internet Banking System.
On July 13, 2012, the CFTSC initiated the review of fi nancial standards.
On August 1, 2012, the 3rd CFSTC Insurance Sub-committee was established.
In October 2012, the PBC issued China Financial Standardization Report 2011.
In November 2012, Banking Industry Standards System was released.
In December 2012, the 1st Experts Committee of CFTSC was established. PBC released the series of technical specifications for China financial mobile payment. CFSTC held its 2012 annual meeting in Beijing.
In February 2013, China Financial Integrated Circuit Card Specifications (V 3.0) was released.
In February 2013, China Financial Integrated Circuit Card Specifications (Version 2010) won the Third Prize of 2012 China Standardization Innovation and Contribution Award.
In May 2013, the 2013 Plenary of ISO/TC 68 Financial Services was held in Guangzhou, China.
